show Abstracthide AbstractWe rationally isolated and down-selected commensal bacterial consortia from healthy human stool samples capable of strongly and specifically suppressing intestinal Enterobacteriaceae. In the study, faeces from three healthy donors were cultured anaerobically on various types of agar containing different growth media including EG, mGAM, BHK, CM0151, MRS, and BL. Individual colonies were picked and sequenced by PCR amplification of the 16S rRNA gene region with universal primers. 118 isolated strains were subjected to whole genome sequence. The extracted genomic DNA of isolated strains were sequenced using PacBio Sequel or Oxford Nanopore Mk1C and Illumina MiSeq sequencers.
